The Merchant Technology Cost Platform team drives the delivery of scalable, reliable software solutions aligned with Walmart’s platform goals. The team collaborates across functions to implement features, APIs, and AI/ML components, ensuring high-quality outcomes through iterative development and continuous integration. Members apply strong technical skills in coding, debugging, and design while embracing innovation and best practices. The team fosters a culture of knowledge sharing, technical ownership, and proactive problem-solving to support system performance and customer satisfaction. This group is committed to advancing technology with a focus on efficiency and long-term impact. What you'll do:
- Own scoped feature delivery through collaborative engineering teams, managing implementation, iteration, testing, and support.
- Write clean, efficient, and reliable code across multiple languages, driving full software development lifecycle including CI/CD and automated testing.
- Integrate AI and ML components to enhance software intelligence and leverage generative AI tools to improve development velocity.
- Assist in solution design, evaluating trade-offs to build scalable, secure, and maintainable systems
- Conduct code reviews, debugging, and defect management
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical requirements and measurable outcomes.
- Monitor application performance and maintain system reliability through proactive DevOps practices.
- Mentor peers, promote engineering best practices, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
