About the team:
The team develops an enterprise inventory platform for Sam's, serving as the primary source of inventory data across all nodes. Members collaborate to deliver scalable, reliable software aligned with platform objectives, emphasizing iterative development, code quality, and continuous integration. Advanced technologies, including generative AI, are integrated to enhance solutions. The team prioritizes technical excellence, proactive problem-solving, and clear communication across functions to meet business goals. What you'll do:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define high-level designs and translate requirements into technical solutions for small to medium projects.
- Develop, test, and maintain code ensuring compliance with quality, security, and scalability standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues through root cause analysis and coordinated action plans.
- Create and execute test cases, perform defect management, and conduct regression testing to ensure software reliability.
- Support continuous integration and delivery by automating routine tasks and monitoring application performance.
- Mentor and guide small engineering teams, providing technical direction and documentation.
- Communicate project status and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure timely delivery and sustainable solutions.
What you'll bring:
- Proven experience in software engineering with strong technical acumen in object-oriented programming and platform design.
- Expertise in API design, component services, and iterative development methodologies.
- Proficiency in debugging, continuous development, and delivering scoped features or models.
- Ability to analyze requirements, perform root cause analysis, and develop sustainable technical solutions.
- Experience with documentation-based coding and implementing telemetry features.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD automation, and testing strategies.
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and support project delivery.
