User Experience Researcher, Qualitative

Meta is seeking a User Experience Researcher to join their UX Research team. This role involves understanding user behavior and needs to inform product development. The researcher will design and execute primary research using various qualitative and quantitative methods, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and translate findings into strategic narratives. The role also requires integrating AI tools to optimize workflows, adhering to ethical AI practices, and demonstrating ongoing AI skill development. Experience with consumer products and AI-powered workflows is preferred.

What you'd actually do

  1. Work closely with product and business teams to identify research topics
  2. Act as a thought leader in the domain of research, while advocating for the people who could use our products
  3. Design and execute end-to-end custom primary research using a wide variety of methods
  4. Design studies that address both user behavior and attitudes
  5. Effectively manage and prioritize research plans through ambiguous and fast-changing environments, align and efficiently execute critical insights and work with a large group of stakeholders

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree with 13+ years of relevant experience in user experience, applied research and/or product research and development or a Master's degree and 11+ years relevant experience, or PhD and 8+ years relevant experience
  • Experience conducting In-Depth Interviews or Focus Groups and Concept Testing or Usability Testing
  • Interest in and experience executing hands-on, primary research
  • Experience translating research findings into strategic narratives
  • Work independently and autonomously

Nice to have

  • Experience with design tools, design systems, or developer/designer productivity tooling
  • Experience partnering with design leadership on strategic research that shapes product direction
  • Experience with consumer products, consumer insights, or product development
