Experienced Operating Engineer responsible for the operation and maintenance of utility systems in a biologics pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. This role involves corrective, emergency, and preventive maintenance on equipment such as boilers, chillers, cooling towers, and clean-in-place systems, ensuring compliance with all regulations and guidelines. Requires a strong understanding of industrial maintenance and the ability to respond to off-shift issues.

What you'd actually do

  1. Operate and maintain the utility plant, including, but not limited to: Boilers, Chillers, Cooling Towers, Reverse Osmosis, WFI Stills, Clean Steam Generators, Air Compressors, Air Handling Units, Refrigeration, Waste Neutralization, Clean-In-Place systems, handle chemicals as needed, and are the first responders to off-shift manufacturing and electrical systems problems.
  2. Monitor equipment operating conditions, takes logs, interprets log readings and takes action as needed.
  3. Participates in cleaning, adjusting, testing, and performing preventive maintenance.
  4. Performs repairs on equipment with limited mentorship.
  5. Document all maintenance activities in CMMS.
