Ux Creative Technologist, Senior Associate

JPMorgan Chase JPMorgan Chase · Banking · Chicago, IL +1 · Commercial & Investment Bank

This role supports the Commercial & Investment Bank (CIB) Payments team by bridging user experience concepts and production-ready interfaces. The Senior Associate will translate design intent into code-ready logic, define component architecture, and ensure the user experience is preserved through implementation. Responsibilities include building and refining UI components, defining component behavior, using AI-assisted development tools for prototypes, and reviewing production builds as a quality gate for the product experience.

What you'd actually do

  1. Build and refine complex UI components with a strong understanding of component references; define and document component props, states, variants, and technical constraints to support scalable implementation.
  2. Define component and interface behavior beyond visual design, including responses to data changes, error states, edge cases, and user interactions; partner with engineering to ensure interaction logic is implementable and consistent.
  3. Use AI-assisted development tooling (e.g., VS Studio with Claude Code) to create live-code prototypes that serve as a source of truth for engineering (real-time data handling, UI state transitions, complex interaction patterns).
  4. Review production builds to validate alignment with intended UI architecture and interaction design; act as a quality gate for the functional craft of the product experience (behavior, responsiveness, component correctness, usability fidelity).
