UX Researcher II role focused on designing and researching AI-driven procurement tools at Amazon scale. What you'd actually do

  1. Lead end-to-end UX research and design for both external-facing and internal-facing procurement tools used across Amazon's global operations.
  2. Conduct user research, usability studies, and data analysis to deeply understand customer needs and translate insights into design decisions.
  3. Leverage AI and emerging technologies to simplify complex user journeys, drive efficiency, and reimagine how teams interact with procurement systems
  4. Partner with engineering, product, and business stakeholders to translate ambiguous, large-scale problems into intuitive experiences
  5. You'll spend the majority of your time (75%) planning and conducting user research — from generative discovery through evaluative testing — to uncover how people understand, trust, and interact with AI systems.

Skills

Required

  • 3+ years of proven success leading User Research projects with demonstrated impact experience
  • Experience in leading User Research projects with demonstrated impact
  • Experience (end to end) with all aspects of research (study design, recruiting, moderation, analysis, reporting)
  • Experience with lab-based user testing, remote testing, iterative prototype testing, survey design, and usage of multiple methods within a study
  • Have a portfolio demonstrating past work experience and deliverables (e.g., study plans, reports, personas)
  • Experience in delivering design solutions as a UX designer or interaction designer

Nice to have

  • Master's degree in Human Factors, HCDE, or Cognitive Psychology
  • Knowledge of quantitative data analysis and statistics
  • Experience conducting and applying research in a global context
  • Experience working in a highly Agile/Scrum environment
