Value Lead

This role is for a Value Lead at Johnson & Johnson's DePuy Synthes in Leeds, UK. The primary focus is to lead, shape, and deliver the company's value proposition through a team of S&S managers, aligning with healthcare and customer needs. Responsibilities include managing value-based procurement conversations, developing long-term partnership agreements, and driving business growth through innovative proposals and collaboration across internal and external stakeholders, particularly within the NHS/Private customer base.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead, Shape and Deliver the DS value strategy via a team of managers, in alignment with the BU leads and alongside the commercial organisation.
  2. Manage tracking and value drawdown in collaboration with the Commercial Team, Finance and Tenders
  3. Create and embed the DS value strategy to develop long term partnership agreements.
  4. Recruit, develop and implement the DS value team to enable and accelerate business growth: Diagnosis, Contracting, Shaping and Implementation.
  5. Work alongside the BU leads, to support the acceleration of enabling technology to deliver value for our customers and their patients whilst delivering our financial commitments.

Skills

Required

  • Excellent working knowledge of NHS/Private Sector procurement.
  • Proven ability to negotiate, shape and execute value-based opportunities.
  • Proven track record in engaging with & influencing senior C suite stakeholders at both an internal and external level. (Director level and above).
  • Ability to understand business strategy and coach the transition to translate it into actionable plans, coupled with high execution focus and exceptional planning skills.
  • Strong passion and track record for innovation & will to make things happen & deliver.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in local language(s) and English; effective interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Data analysis skills and ability to draw actionable conclusions.
  • Creative divergent thinking, problem solving skills, inclusive thinking.
  • Proven communication, presentation and negotiations skills.
  • Excellent understanding of the UK Healthcare System, procurement providers and the strategy of the Future operating model its structure and priorities.
  • Understanding of health economic principles and extensive knowledge of the UK medical devices industry.

Nice to have

  • University degree in business administration, marketing & communications, hospital management, life science, public administration or related fields or studies would be preferable but not essential.
  • IT literate – ability to analyse and present information using appropriate IT resources.
