This role supports satellite programs with mission operations, including on-orbit vehicle/sustaining engineering, anomaly resolution, data trending, performance analysis, and operational product updates. It involves leading anomaly review boards, investigating system signatures, supporting operations readiness, and potentially shift work. The engineer will also modify and develop operations procedures, coordinate maintenance tasks, perform demonstrations, conduct risk analysis, and provide 24/7 on-call support. Communication and presentation skills are essential for customer meetings and status reporting.

What you'd actually do

  1. Provide mission operations support to Satellite programs including on orbit vehicle/sustaining engineering.
  2. Support activities such as system problem/anomaly resolution support, data trending, operational product updates, and performance analyses
  3. Lead/Coordinate other systems engineers to conduct anomaly review board investigations as necessary.
  4. Investigation and diagnosis of unexpected system signatures
  5. Support operations readiness activities including configuration control board and other customer meetings

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
  • Active or current Top Secret Clearance
  • U.S. citizen
  • Knowledge and experience in satellite operations engineering disciplines
  • Troubleshooting, anomaly resolution and performing analysis on operational systems
  • Writing technical documents for external customers
  • Outstanding verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to make persuasive presentations

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related STEM field
