Seeking a Vehicle Management Systems Engineer (Level 2/3) to design, develop, and verify flight-critical management systems for aircraft. Responsibilities include defining system constraints, interfaces, and architecture, creating specifications, modeling, testing, and leading anomaly resolution. Requires a STEM degree and experience in subsystem integration, data bus architecture, system integrity analysis, or VMS architecture development. A Secret clearance is required.

What you'd actually do

  1. Define design and technology maturity constraints of the system in accordance with customer specifications.
  2. Develop thorough definition of system external interfaces. Defines system implementation approach and operational concept.
  3. Ensure requirements are met and evaluates performance with customer.
  4. Design flight‑critical control systems and overall VMS architecture with optimized redundancy levels.
  5. Create and maintain VMS specification development, requirements definition, functional modeling, and VMS testing
