Velocity Account Executive

This role is for a Velocity Account Executive at Amplitude, an AI analytics platform company. The AE will focus on driving new business acquisition within the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) for SMB and Mid-Market customers. Responsibilities include engaging with inbound leads, converting free-tier users, outbound prospecting, and managing existing customer relationships for expansion and retention. The role requires a hunter mindset, strong relationship-building skills, and involves monthly travel across the DACH region.

What you'd actually do

  1. Own full-cycle sales – from prospecting and discovery to closing and onboarding.
  2. Focus on net new customer acquisition within the DACH SMB and Mid-Market segments.
  3. Develop Amplitude’s brand and community across the German-speaking ecosystem, especially among product, growth, and data teams.
  4. Build relationships with prospective and current SMB and Mid-Market customers through regular in-person engagement—monthly travel across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland is required.
  5. Collaborate closely with marketing, sales engineering, and customer success to ensure a seamless experience across the customer journey.
