Vertical Marketing Manager

The role is for a Vertical Marketing Manager at Cognite, an industrial digitalization company that builds AI and data solutions. The manager will be responsible for defining industry narratives, creating content, supporting marketing campaigns, and enabling sales teams for sectors like Energy, Chemicals, and Life Sciences. The role requires experience in B2B product marketing or content strategy within the Industrial SaaS or AI space, with a preference for vertical knowledge and strong storytelling abilities.

What you'd actually do

  1. Develop and govern a comprehensive library of vertical-specific content, including white papers, case studies, executive briefs, and blog posts that resonate with industry decision-makers.
  2. Help drive and deliver the booth narrative and content to maximize our presence at events. Attend in-person demos and support lead-generation activities.
  3. Partner closely with the Campaign Team to integrate vertical messaging into global demand generation programs, ensuring all assets drive high-quality leads and pipeline growth.
  4. Act as the "editor-in-chief" for your assigned verticals, ensuring all external communications align with Cognite’s brand standards and specific industry terminology/pain points.
  5. Create "battle cards," pitch decks, and industry playbooks that empower our sales teams to speak the language of verticals such as Energy, Manufacturing, and Life Sciences leaders.

Skills

Required

  • 5+ years in B2B product marketing or content strategy
  • Proven experience marketing to at least one of our core verticals (Energy, Chemicals, or Life Sciences)
  • Storyteller: You have a gift for turning market pain points into visionary narratives that address "C-suite" challenges.
  • Understand the marketing funnel and know how to use content to move a prospect from "curious" to "qualified lead."
  • Collaborator: You thrive in a fast-paced environment where you must balance multiple stakeholders and tight campaign deadlines.
