Responsibilities
- Estimate the work necessary to realize a story or requirement through the delivery lifecycle.
- Perform spike or proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas.
- Code solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement or story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements.
- Utilize multiple architectural components (across data, application, business) to design and develop client requirements.
- Contribute to story refinement and define requirements.
- Resolve technical complexities involved in realizing story work.
- Participate in estimating the work necessary to realize a story or requirement through the delivery lifecycle.
- Design, develop, and modify architecture.
- Design and develop production-ready software for data warehousing solutions using Hadoop, Teradata, Oracle, SAS, Java, Informatica, and CI/CD deployment.
- Utilize Linux, code, debug, and use scheduling tools like Autosys.
- Design and develop new proof of concept projects to enhance current software systems to handle increased traffic and larger datasets with Apache Spark, SAS, Informatica, and Teradata Cloud.
- Develop complex Teradata SQL-based ETL and analytic workflows using native utilities including BTEQ, TPT, and FastExport.
- Remote work may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite.
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Engineering (any), or related: and
- 5 years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or a related IT occupation.
- Must include 5 years of experience in each of the following:
- Designing and developing solution architectures to scale backend systems using Python, Java, Spring Boot and rest specifications;
- Utilizing full stack engineering, Linux, coding, and debugging;
- Designing and developing production ready software using web, cloud, and distributed technologies such as Apache Spark, Hadoop, Microservices, and CI/CD cloud deployment; and,
- Designing and developing new proof of concept projects to enhance current software systems to handle increased traffic and larger datasets with cutting edge technologies such as Elasticsearch, Redis, and Kafka.
