Vice President, Business Manager for Quantitative Trading & Research (QTR) at JPMorgan Chase. This role supports the Head of Quantitative Trading and Chief Data Officer by managing day-to-day operations, developing business strategy, and accelerating AI/ML initiatives within Markets. Responsibilities include implementing business strategy, program managing AI/ML and data modernization, driving business performance, budget development, and owning controls and regulatory initiatives.

What you'd actually do

  1. Implement new business strategy, strategic initiatives or platforms, including aligning department and support groups (Finance, Tech, Ops, Legal, Compliance)
  2. Program manage Markets AI/ML and data/platform modernization; coordinate model lifecycle, governance, and delivery roadmaps
  3. Drive business performance: analyze P&L and expenses, identify productivity levers, lead cost/benefit cases, and improve core processes
  4. Develop the annual budget, including revenue, expense and headcount planning
  5. Own controls and planning: coordinate regulatory/control initiatives; lead annual budgeting (revenue, expense, headcount); represent QTR in internal/external working groups.

Skills

Required

  • 4 plus years experience in roles supporting Sales & Trading or Business Management/COO, Chief of Staff, or Product Management roles
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication

  • Financial acumen across P&L and expense management
  • Strong analytical skills

Nice to have

  • Experience with systematic/electronic trading workflows.
  • Familiarity with data platforms and modernization (e.g., reference data adoption, model/tooling platforms).
  • Prior business management experience.
  • Product and/or market‑structure knowledge in equities or fixed income, currencies, or commodities.
  • Advanced PowerPoint/Excel; comfort with analytics/dashboards (e.g., Tableau/Power BI) a plus.
