Video Director for Product Launches at Anthropic, responsible for the creative vision and execution of video content for model and product launches. This role requires leading the full production lifecycle from concept to delivery, translating complex technical subjects into compelling narratives, and managing production crews under tight timelines in a fast-paced environment.

What you'd actually do

  1. Direct and oversee video production for model and product launches, from initial creative brief through final delivery, often on compressed timelines
  2. Develop creative concepts, treatments, and narrative strategies that translate complex AI capabilities into compelling, human-centered stories
  3. Lead and manage production crews on set, including DPs, camera operators, sound, lighting, and other crew members
  4. Partner with marketing, product, and communications teams to align creative direction with launch goals and messaging
  5. Guide post-production workflows, providing creative direction to editors, colorists, and sound designers

Skills

Required

  • 6+ years of professional video directing or production experience
  • Portfolio demonstrating ability to lead high-impact launches or campaigns
  • Experience directing at a SaaS or AI company, or in-house creative team in a fast-paced technology environment
  • Skilled storyteller
  • Proven experience leading production crews on set
  • Comfortable owning creative decisions under time and budget pressure
  • Thrive under tight turnarounds
  • Understand the full filmmaking process
  • Excellent communicator
  • Proactive and calm under pressure

Nice to have

  • Hands-on experience as a director of photography or camera operator
  • Editing experience
  • Experience directing launch videos, keynote content, or product announcement films
