This role focuses on applied corporate finance and valuation topics, performing financial analyses, building financial models, and contributing to client cases and proposals within the Boston Consulting Group's ValueScience Center.

What you'd actually do

  1. perform financial analyses such as shareholder return analysis (TSR), corporate valuation and financial benchmarking.
  2. building financial models to analyze the capital markets impact of strategic plans, mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, and financial policies (e.g., debt issuance, dividend policy change).
  3. share topic/sector acumen and points of view more broadly within the firm.
  4. partner with BCG teams, managers and project leaders to generate insights pertinent to the financial characteristics and aspects of clients, integrate analysis efforts into proposals/projects, and create high quality presentations for clients.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree, with high academic achievement
  • 1-2+ years of relevant work experience in corporate finance, investing, and/or consulting
  • Demonstrated interest in corporate finance and valuation
  • Strong work ethic and client service-mentality
  • Collaborative, team player approach
  • Strong mathematics and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple parallel tasks
  • Strong interpersonal skills, credibility
