Anduril Industries is a defense technology company developing advanced military capabilities, including AI-powered systems and Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs). This role is for a Warehouse Manager responsible for end-to-end material management, inventory strategy, and leading warehouse staff to support production operations. The role involves developing material management strategies, optimizing warehouse operations, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring compliance with regulations and safety standards. Experience with ERP/WMS software, lean principles, and leadership is required.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead and develop a high-performing warehouse team, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
  2. Implement end-to-end material management measures, including FIFO adherence, material variances, cycle time optimization, scrap/obsolescence management, cycle/physical counting, and audits, etc., to ensure inventory accuracy and to mitigate stockouts or overstocking. This includes the development & improvement of critical metrics
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, production planning, product engineering, manufacturing engineering, logistics, and quality, to aid in accurate demand forecasting, procurement planning, and to help align material availability with production schedules
  4. Analyze material usage trends, identify opportunities for process improvements, and implement lean practices to optimize material handling, storage, and distribution
  5. Utilize ERP & WMS software systems and tools to track inventory, generate reports, and provide data-driven insights to support decision-making and optimize material-related processes

What the JD emphasized

  • 5+ years of experience in material management, inventory control, or supply chain management role, with 2+ years of leadership experience, preferably in an aerospace and/or defense manufacturing environment
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain principles, inventory management techniques, and material planning strategies
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions
  • Proficient in using warehouse management software and tools (e.g., Oracle/Odoo)
  • Experience establishing and managing internal Kanban and Vendor Managed Inventory systems
  • Solid understanding of lean principles and experience in implementing process improvement initiatives
  • Strong leadership abilities with the capacity to lead and develop a team effectively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of safety and regulatory compliance standards related to material management activities
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret clearance
