Web Content Operations Specialist

Expedia Expedia · Hospitality · Austin, TX

Expedia Group is seeking a Web Content Operations Specialist to manage and automate operational systems for their marketing websites. This role involves auditing and automating manual workflows, using AI tools for content QA and operational tasks, managing CMS content, and troubleshooting website issues. The specialist will also support analytics and collaborate with various teams to ensure efficient content production.

What you'd actually do

  1. Audit existing workflows across publishing, QA, intake, and reporting — identifying every step that is manual, undocumented, or dependent on a single person — and build automated replacements using tools like Power Automate, GitHub Actions, or similar.
  2. Use AI tools actively and daily to accelerate operational tasks including content QA, copy review, tag validation, localization checks, and process documentation.
  3. Author, publish, and QA web page layouts and components in our CMS, verify features, and ensure pages are functioning correctly — serving as backup publisher during peak periods or team absences.
  4. Manage the team's intake and workflow tooling (Jira, Smartsheet, or similar) and continuously improve it to reduce coordination overhead and manual status tracking.
  5. Troubleshoot website and publishing issues and collaborate with developers for fixes as needed.
