What this looks like:
- 2nd Shift: Monday - Friday 2:15 pm - 10:15 pm, Overtime as business needs require
- 2nd Shift Starting Pay: $28.89/hour (includes 8% Shift Premium)

As a Welder 3 at Caterpillar, you will:
- Uses various tools provided in the work area to perform welding duties including but not limited to manual MIG Welding
- Repair defective welds utilizing carbon air arc process, grinders, etc.
- Inspect own work including quality checks utilizing weld and attribute gages and other measuring tools.
- Use lifting devices to move heavy components of weights of more than 35 lbs.
- Complete routine maintenance (wire change, tip/nozzle change) in all qualified workstations.
- Rotate to various positions within the Job Function area to perform related activities.
- Follow documented procedures, standard work, routings, and blueprints to perform safe and defect-free operations
- Follow and utilizes CPS principles of 5S, Continuous Improvement Idea Reporting, Waste Elimination, and Standard Work
- Responsible for process and final inspections
- Function as part of a team, willing to be multi-trained and maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work area.
Physical Requirements (with or without reasonable accommodation):
- Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods
- Ability to perform repetitive operations
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
Basic Requirements:
- At least one year of welding experience
- At least one year of carbon air arc experience
Top Candidates will also have:
- Must be able to pass 2F fillet weld, 4F fillet weld (overhead) & 2G groove weld test.

Summary Pay Range:
$26.75 - $33.45
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
