Wire Design & Install Engineer (associate, Mid Level, or Senior Level)

This role involves developing and maintaining electrical wire harness designs, analyzing results, performing design reviews, and providing engineering dispositions for discrepancies within the Boeing 787 Commercial Airplane program. It requires a Bachelor's degree in an engineering or related field and experience in engineering roles and Microsoft Office applications.

What you'd actually do

  1. Develops and maintains cable/wire harness detail and assembly designs. Analyzes results and performs design reviews.
  2. Develops and maintains electrical product detail, assembly and installation designs (e.g., cable routing and geometry, WHIDs, IRMs).
  3. Provides engineering design disposition on discrepancies (e.g., rejection tags, production action requests, and shop revision requests).
  4. Documents processes, specifications and procedures that support the design and manufacture of electrical commodities.
  5. Analyzes functional and physical input to assure development of complete integrated design.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • 2 or more years of experience in an engineering role
  • 2 or more years of experience working with Microsoft Office Applications

Nice to have

  • Experience working directly with 7-series aircraft
  • Experience in Electrical System, Avionics, Wire Design, and/or Wire Installation
  • Project management experience
  • Experience in Design Engineering, Service Engineering, Field Service, Maintenance Engineering, or Customer Support
  • Experience with Engineering tools such as ENOVIA, CATIA, PDM
  • Experience working with FAA or Regulatory Administration
  • Strong written, verbal communications and presentation skills
