Seeking a Wire Harness Technician with mechanical experience to join Saronic Technologies, a startup developing autonomous surface vessels for the Department of Defense. The role involves assembling, integrating, and testing wire harnesses for vessel systems, ensuring quality and reliability. Responsibilities include construction, routing, installation, component integration, quality control, troubleshooting, documentation, and safety compliance.

What you'd actually do

  1. Wire Harness Assembly: Construct, route, and install wire harnesses according to engineering schematics and specifications.
  2. Component Integration: Collaborate with mechanical engineers and other team members to integrate wire harnesses into various components of the vessel, such as propulsion systems, sensors, and communication devices.
  3. Quality Control: Conduct thorough inspections of completed wire harness assemblies to verify accuracy, functionality, and compliance with industry standards and project requirements.
  4. Troubleshooting: Identify and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues related to wire harnesses during assembly and testing phases, implementing solutions to ensure optimal performance.
  5. Documentation: Maintain detailed records of wire harness assembly procedures, modifications, and testing results to facilitate future reference and continuous improvement efforts.

Skills

Required

  • Proficiency in wire harness assembly techniques, including soldering, crimping, and connector termination
  • Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical principles
  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering environment
  • Demonstrated track record of success in assembling and integrating complex electrical systems
  • Meticulous attention to detail and precision
  • Ability to accurately interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities
  • Capacity to identify and resolve electrical and mechanical issues efficiently and effectively
