Wla Yield Defect Metrology Engineer

Intel Intel · Semiconductors · Oregon, Hillsboro, United States

This role focuses on yield improvement in semiconductor manufacturing by applying statistical analysis, machine learning, and coding techniques to analyze big data from manufacturing processes, identify root causes of defects, and develop data-driven strategies for yield optimization. The engineer will develop systems and methodologies for data consolidation, perform statistical analysis and visualization, and transform data into actionable yield improvement strategies.

What you'd actually do

  1. Provide process development direction throughout the lifecycle of a technology node by identifying root cause yield limiters.
  2. Perform statistical analysis and develop visualizations to construct accurate process development roadmaps that drive technology yield milestones.
  3. Develop systems and methodologies to consolidate diverse big data sources for defect mode understanding and yield modeling.
  4. Organize and interpret fab process, defect, and electrical data, detecting anomalies and driving process changes to enhance yield.
  5. Apply statistics, machine learning, and coding techniques to extract insights from structured and unstructured data.
