Northrop Grumman is seeking a Work Instruction Technical Writer/Editor for their Space Sector in Chandler, AZ. The role involves editing, formatting, and maintaining work packages and electronic work instructions, supporting engineering teams, managing documentation databases, and authoring existing paperwork instructions into a digital environment. Experience with MES, JIRA, and Tableau is preferred. A U.S. Government Secret security clearance is required.

What you'd actually do

  1. Edit, format, proofread, and maintain WPs (PDF and MS Word) and electronic Work Instructions (MES).
  2. Maintain standardization throughout all Launch Vehicle Integration Sites. Including implementation of Technical Manual standards and work instruction formatting.
  3. Support the engineering team in the issuing, updating, and closure of work instructions.
  4. Utilize WP database to maintain incorporation logs and Work Instruction listings for each program mission.
  5. Maintain and update standard templates, style guides, and standard operations.

Skills

Required

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task
  • Experience editing/formatting documents
  • Experience using Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

Nice to have

  • Active U.S. Government DoD Secret (or higher) security clearance, current and within scope
  • Completion of a college degree, BS or BA preferred.
  • Experience with MES or other digital work instruction platform
  • Experience with JIRA, Tableau or similar platform
  • Extensive experience editing/formatting documents
  • Extensive experience using Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Electrical, Mechanical or Aerospace background
