This role is for a Workday Consultant who partners with customers to implement certified integrations that automate internal business processes, focusing on third-party payroll systems. The consultant will collaborate with sales prospects, work closely with internal teams to improve integrations, and provide technical expertise in payroll integrations, ensuring seamless data transfers and compliance with data security policies. The role requires hands-on experience with Workday integration tools and a solid understanding of Workday business processes and standard payroll concepts.

What you'd actually do

  1. Partner with customers to maximize the value of their Workday investments by implementing certified integrations that automate internal business processes.
  2. Collaborate with sales prospects to set expectations, define project scope, and understand client requirements.
  3. Work closely with internal teams to continuously improve integrations, exploring opportunities to extend functionality and deliver greater value to customers.
  4. Proactively suggest, define, and help implement new ways to support our customers’ needs.
  5. Design, develop, and implement Workday integrations, with a focus on third-party payroll systems, ensuring seamless payroll data transfers.

Skills

Required

  • 2+ years of experience as a Workday Consultant
  • One Workday certification required at minimum
  • Proven experience adapting to new Workday environments and project requirements
  • Strong background in consulting or project-based work
  • Demonstrated experience integrating Workday with third-party payroll systems
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Hands-on experience with Workday integration tools, including EIB (Enterprise Interface Builder), Workday Studio, Core Connectors, and Web Services APIs
  • Solid understanding of Workday business processes related to Payroll, Time Tracking, and Absence Management
  • Functional knowledge of Workday HCM, Compensation, and Recruiting, with expertise in data flows affecting payroll
  • Strong understanding of standard payroll concepts, including gross-to-net calculations, tax jurisdiction rules, and wage types
