Senior Consultant role focused on Workday HCM implementations and optimizations, requiring expertise in Core HR, Talent, and Compensation modules. Responsibilities include leading workstreams, gathering requirements, facilitating workshops, managing resources, and mentoring junior staff within the HR Strategy & Technology Offering team.

What you'd actually do

  1. Leading Workday Functional Workstreams for Workday implementation and optimization projects of Workday HCM modules (Core HR, Talent, Compensation, or other specializations as relevant).
  2. Gathering business requirements while educating clients on Workday functionality as it relates to HR activities.
  3. Facilitating workshops, demos and meetings to build consensus around business processes and design.
  4. Managing workstream activities, including configuration and overseeing activities of on and offshore resources, as needed.
  5. Serve as mentor to junior staff.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of relevant experience
  • Minimum of 4+ years of experience leading workstreams as part of Workday implementations with knowledge in 2 or more areas of the HCM product, including configuration of the system.
  • Minimum of 4+ years demonstrating exceptional written and verbal communication skills, translating complex technical concepts into clear business language appropriate for diverse audiences.
  • Minimum of 4+ years of exceptional problem-solving capabilities, with ability to navigate ambiguity and rapidly changing project priorities, analyzing problems with a structured approach and pivoting strategies as needed to maintain project momentum and client satisfaction.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%, on average

Nice to have

  • Workday HCM Certification(s) in one or more HCM Modules.
  • Minimum of 4+ years of Experience working in consulting solutions for Fortune 500 or equivalent clients.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience mentoring and developing junior staff through on boarding, skills development or performance reviews.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with advanced Excel modeling (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis) and developing executive-level PowerPoint presentations; experience using Microsoft Visio to develop process flows or technical diagrams.
