Workforce Shaping and Development Specialist - Ts/sci Poly - Chantilly, Va

This role focuses on workforce shaping and development within the federal sector, leveraging AI and emerging technologies to transform HR functions. Responsibilities include job and workforce analyses, applying OPM regulations, designing promotion criteria, and improving performance management processes. The role requires experience in management consulting and a strong understanding of federal HR regulations.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead job and workforce analyses (e.g., mission-to-workforce mapping, demand/supply, skills/competency gaps) to inform workforce shaping and modernization decisions
  2. Apply federal OPM regulations and classification standards to develop/validate position descriptions, titles/series/grades, and support position classification adjudication packages
  3. Design and implement promotion criteria and career progression frameworks, ensuring transparency, consistency, and compliance with federal requirements and client policy
  4. Assess and improve performance management processes, including performance elements/standards, evaluation guidance, and manager/employee enablement materials
  5. Provide end-to-end advisory support across the workforce lifecycle (workforce planning, classification, recruiting/selection inputs, development, performance, and retention) in a high-tempo government environment

Skills

Required

  • 4+ years of professional experience in job analysis, workforce analysis, federal OPM regulations, position classification, promotion criteria, and performance management needs
  • 2+ years of management consulting experience
  • Master's degree in I/O Psychology, or a related field
  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance required
