Instacart is seeking an Account Manager to join their Canada Brand Partnerships team. This role will focus on growing and retaining CPG advertisers on Instacart's retail media platform by managing campaigns, analyzing performance, and identifying upsell opportunities. The position requires experience in digital advertising, retail media, or e-commerce performance marketing, with a strong ability to analyze data and communicate with senior stakeholders.

What you'd actually do

  1. Own a portfolio of Canadian CPG advertisers, serving as the primary point of contact to drive growth, retention, and long-term partnership value.
  2. Plan, launch, and optimize retail media campaigns across Instacart ad products; analyze performance to deliver data-backed recommendations that improve ROAS, incrementality, and category share.
  3. Identify and execute upsell and cross-sell opportunities, build business cases, and partner with Account Executives on renewals, expansions, and joint business planning.
  4. Lead regular performance reviews and Quarterly Business Reviews with senior client stakeholders, translating complex data into clear narratives and actionable roadmaps.
  5. Forecast pipeline and revenue, manage pacing and budgets, and ensure operational excellence in collaboration with Ads Operations, Measurement, and Finance.

Skills

Required

  • 3+ years of experience in account management or client success within digital advertising, retail media, or e-commerce performance marketing.
  • Proven track record managing a portfolio of advertisers and meeting or exceeding revenue, retention, and performance goals.
  • Hands-on experience running end-to-end campaigns (planning, trafficking coordination, optimization, reporting) and leading QBRs or executive readouts.
  • Proficiency with Excel/Google Sheets (pivot tables, lookups) and comfort interpreting large data sets to create clear, actionable insights.
  • Effective communicator with experience influencing senior client stakeholders and collaborating cross-functionally with sales, operations, and analytics teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have

  • Experience working with CPG advertisers and familiarity with retail media networks (e.g., Instacart Ads, Amazon Ads, Walmart Connect).
  • Knowledge of performance marketing metrics (ROAS, CPA, incrementality) and experimentation methodologies.
  • Exposure to data visualization or BI tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau) and comfort building client-facing dashboards.
  • Working knowledge of SQL for exploratory analysis and performance deep dives.
  • Bilingual English/French and experience supporting Canadian national and regional CPG stakeholders.
