What you'd actually do

  1. Help develop and implement the legal strategy for M&A activities in alignment with the company’s overall business and legal objectives.
  2. Advise the company on Securities laws and reporting requirements.
  3. Drive best-in-class corporate governance in partnership with the CLO, including direct engagement with Axon's Board of Directors and its committees.
  4. Help lead and coordinate comprehensive due diligence processes for potential M&A and capital markets transactions.
  5. Help manage external legal counsel.

Skills

Required

  • J.D. from an accredited institution with outstanding academic credentials
  • Admission to a State Bar within the United States
  • Minimum 5-7 years’ experience working for a top tier law firm
  • Demonstrated legal expertise in M&A, securities law and corporate governance
  • Extensive experience in managing complex M&A transactions, preferably within the technology or financial services sector
  • Excellent writing, analytical, negotiation, communication, strategic thinking, and presentation skills
  • Strong understanding of corporate and securities laws, regulations, and industry standards
  • Strong leadership, attention to detail, problem solving abilities and organization/prioritization skills
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully work with a team and in a fast paced, dynamic team environment
