At Booking.com, data drives our decisions. Technology is at our core. And innovation is everywhere. But our company is more than datasets, lines of code or A/B tests. We’re the thrill of the first night in a new place. The excitement of the next morning. The friends you encounter. The journeys you take. The sights you see. And the memories you make. Through our products, partners and people, we make it easier for everyone to experience the world.
The Home & New Growth Team is a new team within Commercial Growth & Operations (CoGo). It is the accountable, single-threaded owner for the Home, Families, and other key growth segments, responsible for defining, executing, and monitoring strategies that drive a step-change in growth from untapped opportunities. Its primary objective is to "crack the code" and unlock new growth within our core segments.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Team Leadership: Lead a Business Analytics team and own the Home & New Growth insights & reporting strategy end-to-end. Set operational KPIs that provide transparency on commercial performance and champion analytics that compound rather than reset each quarter.
- Commercial Excellence: Apply strategic, data-driven thinking to surface commercial opportunities. Partner with analysts across markets to read regional trends and turn them into actionable intelligence for commercial specialists.
- Innovation & GenAI: Drive the long-term team vision and go beyond using GenAI, build with it. Design and ship agentic systems (e.g. analysis agents, automated pipelines) that scale the team’s analytical judgment.
- Analytical Frameworks: Own a repeatable diagnostic methodology (cohort-based KPI decomposition, performance deep-dives, retention/survival analysis) and turn it into frameworks, interactive reports, and dashboards for strategy and performance steering.
- Stakeholder Management: Manage business and technical stakeholders as a recognized expert and driver of their goals.
- Vendor Relations: Manage relationships with third-party data vendors, including negotiating contracts and exploring new vendor opportunities.
Qualifications & Skills:
- 8+ years of experience in business analysis.
- 5+ years defining and driving reporting strategy in a commercial environment (KPI definition, reporting landscape) across large teams.
- 3+ years managing teams.
- Demonstrated ability to build (not just use) GenAI/agentic tooling for analytics (e.g. analysis agents, automated pipelines, self-serve tools).
- Proven analytical framework depth: can define and defend a decomposition methodology, not only run ad-hoc analysis.
- BI experience; translating complex business scenarios into actionable metrics.
- Data analysis for strategy, commercial planning, and performance steering.
- Highly organised; sets priorities and manages multiple projects/timelines with attention to detail.
- Strong at managing and allocating internal resources.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Entrepreneurial spirit; thrives in ambiguity.
- Online travel/technology/e-commerce experience is a plus.
