Block (Square) is seeking a Business Development Manager in the UK to drive the sourcing and recruitment of independent sales consultants. This role is critical to building and scaling their field sales force through quality recruitment, aiming to recruit 20-30 consultants per month. Responsibilities include sourcing, managing the end-to-end recruitment process, stakeholder management, process optimization, and market intelligence. Requires 5+ years of recruitment experience, with a strong track record in high-volume hiring and proven experience recruiting independent contractors in the UK.

What you'd actually do

  1. Source and attract experienced independent sales consultants
  2. Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, aiming for 20 successful independent consultants per month, while prioritizing quality and speed.
  3. Develop and execute creative sourcing strategies to build a strong pipeline of qualified candidates.
  4. Screen candidates for sales aptitude, entrepreneurial mindset, cultural fit, and alignment with Square's values.
  5. Partner closely with Regional Sales Managers and Team Leaders to understand regional hiring needs and candidate profiles.
