Business Development Representative

Betterment is a technology-driven financial services company offering investing, savings, and retirement solutions. They are seeking Business Development Representatives to drive top-of-funnel growth through outbound prospecting for their 401(k) or Custody businesses. The role involves identifying and nurturing potential outbound opportunities, articulating the company's value proposition, and meeting sales goals. Experience in B2B tech/SaaS sales as an SDR/BDR is a plus, as is curiosity for financial products and retirement planning.

What you'd actually do

  1. Generating new opportunities using outbound tactics (email sequences, cold calling, LinkedIn, etc)
  2. Identifying, targeting and nurturing potential outbound opportunities by creating new target lists and always being one step ahead of trends
  3. Understanding the need of prospects and communicating them clearly to Account Executives
  4. Clearly articulating Betterment’s value proposition and products to prospects in specific verticals
  5. Meet and exceed meeting set and meetings held goals
