This role is for a Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) at Axon. The primary responsibilities include leading a team, managing the annual budget process, partnering with leaders for strategic outlooks and funding requests, evaluating and standardizing processes, leveraging technology for efficiencies, and providing financial insights to meet EBITDA goals. The role also involves overseeing procure-to-pay processes, developing reporting packages, and assisting with board presentations. It requires a minimum of 10 years of FP&A experience, strong leadership, and experience with financial systems like D365, Adaptive Planning, and Workday.

What you'd actually do

  1. Build and develop a world-class FP&A team
  2. Own the annual budget process and other key inputs driving the corporate forecast model
  3. Partner with leaders across the organization to refine strategic outlooks and support funding requests
  4. Evaluate and drive standardization of processes, systems, communication, and controls across functions
  5. Leverage technology to drive efficiencies across the finance and accounting functions

Skills

Required

  • Advanced degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics or Accounting
  • Minimum of 10 years of FP&A experience including, but not limited to budgeting, forecasting, reporting and business analytics
  • Hands-on leadership approach
  • Experience building and managing a team
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent analytical, oral and written communication skills
  • Strong planning and organization skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and deliver in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Experience working with Microsoft D365, Adaptive Planning and Workday
