Electrical Engineer Ii, Video

Axon Axon · Enterprise · AZ · 2004 Sensors - Devices

Electrical Engineer II responsible for the design, development, validation, and debugging of next-generation video hardware, including embedded electronic circuits and subsystems for wired and wireless devices and low-power accessories. This role involves schematic design, component selection, PCB layout review, board bring-up, characterization, and troubleshooting to meet product and regulatory requirements.

What you'd actually do

  1. Design and develop high-quality embedded electronic circuits and subsystems for Axon’s video products, wired and wireless devices, and low-power accessories.
  2. Own detailed design and implementation of mixed-signal hardware blocks in collaboration with senior electrical engineers and cross-functional partners.
  3. Contribute to subsystem architecture and hardware design decisions, helping translate system requirements into practical circuit implementations.
  4. Create embedded mixed-signal schematics in OrCAD, integrating components such as application processors, memory, high-speed digital interfaces, RF transceivers, power supplies, battery charging systems, audio, and sensors.
  5. Work closely with PCB design engineers to define requirements, review layouts, and improve implementation quality for dense, high-performance embedded boards.
