Toast is seeking a Flex Territory Account Executive to join their SMB sales team. The role involves prospecting, building relationships, and closing deals with new restaurateurs in a designated territory. The Account Executive will use a consultative approach to understand client needs and develop customized solutions. Responsibilities include managing the sales cycle, conducting demos, leveraging Salesforce CRM, and understanding the competitive landscape. The role requires 1+ years of sales experience, reliable transportation, strong communication and presentation skills, and a proven track record of exceeding goals. Experience with Salesforce CRM and Sandler Sales Training are considered nice-to-haves. Toast emphasizes the use of AI tools to empower employees across all departments, including sales, to build for customers more effectively.

What you'd actually do

  1. Generate list of prospective restaurants and manage the entire sales cycle from initial call to close
  2. Conduct demos and develop a solution that best meets the prospect’s needs
  3. Partner with teams across the business to ensure that expectations set during the sales process are met in delivery
  4. Leverage Salesforce (our CRM) to manage all sales activities
  5. Understand the competitive landscape and determine how to best position Toast in the market

Skills

Required

  • 1+ years of experience in a sourcing or closing sales role, restaurant operations, or a relatable field and industry
  • Reliable transportation
  • Strong communication, organizational and presentation skills
  • Ability to sell and negotiate at all decision-making levels
  • Proven track record of success in meeting and exceeding goals
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial and team environment
  • Self-motivated, creative, and flexible
  • General technical proficiency with software
