This role is a Manufacturing Operations Lead responsible for coordinating daily production activities, supporting operators, and ensuring products are completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards. It involves monitoring processes, supporting validation, and resolving manufacturing challenges.

What you'd actually do

  1. Provide day-to-day oversight, coordination, and planning for manufacturing operations to ensure production plans are executed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
  2. Direct and support operators through critical manufacturing processes, including monitoring process performance, quality control, yields, and reject data.
  3. Perform, monitor, and document critical processes and routine validation protocols in accordance with established procedures.
  4. Serve as a liaison between operators and Manufacturing management, escalating issues related to personnel, safety, procedures, materials, equipment, automation, utilities, or systems as needed.
  5. Assist supervisors/managers with resource planning, scheduling, and execution of production plans within the designated production area.

Skills

Required

  • Experience in manufacturing, production, operations, or a related environment
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate work and support production teams
  • Working knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, equipment operation, and techniques for maximizing manufacturing efficiency
  • Ability to monitor equipment, identify performance issues, evaluate processes, and recommend actions to improve safety, quality, output, or efficiency
  • Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with operators, peers, supervisors, and cross-functional teams
  • Ability to coach, motivate, and develop team members
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
  • Ability to stand for up to 12 hours per day
  • Ability to regularly lift, carry, and move packages and materials up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment
