Key Account Leader

This role is for a Key Account Leader responsible for selling Axon's products and services to law enforcement agencies. It is a quota-carrying, external field position that requires the ability to articulate complex solutions, build senior-level relationships, navigate procurement processes, and lead sales teams. The role involves managing and growing revenue, developing account strategies, tracking customer activity, cultivating relationships, and ensuring customer satisfaction. The position also includes forecasting, gathering competitive intelligence, and managing an expense budget. Experience in software sales (SaaS/Cloud), managing major accounts, and consultative sales is required. The role also requires significant travel.

What you'd actually do

  1. Manage and grow revenue and market share at designated agencies to maximize customer satisfaction and achieve strategic objectives
  2. Develop and maintain client relationships to ultimately drive revenue growth
  3. Develop and execute account strategy by collaborating with account team to deliver stronger, more relevant value propositions
  4. Track customer activity in internal systems in order to execute on account strategy and identify additional opportunities
  5. Cultivate customer relationships and ensure effective service delivery to accounts

Skills

Required

  • Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated successful customer facing Software (SaaS / Cloud) Sales Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience managing a book of business of Major Accounts
  • Solution or consultative sales experience working within complex sales processes
  • Able to travel 70% + (3-4 days a week on the road) including overnight travel
  • Able to clearly and directly articulate complex solution offerings across technical and non-technical audiences

Nice to have

  • Data management experience using Salesforce (preferred) or similar CRM
  • Strong understanding of Cloud and SaaS
  • Startup experience & some vertical experience
  • Law Enforcement / Public Safety experience
  • Team Player: collaborate with various team members regularly
  • Ready to own & drive the territory
