Maintenance Engineer II (onsite)

This role focuses on improving equipment reliability, availability, and maintainability in an automated manufacturing environment. Responsibilities include owning maintenance strategies, leading root cause analysis, developing corrective actions, optimizing maintenance programs, analyzing maintenance data, and supporting spare parts strategy. The role requires collaboration with Controls, Manufacturing, and Operations teams to reduce downtime and support production scaling.

What you'd actually do

  1. Ensure that automated manufacturing equipment is reliable. This includes robots, PLC-controlled machines, conveyors, vision systems, and material handling equipment.
  2. Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring failures, downtime events, and chronic equipment issues.
  3. Develop and implement corrective actions to eliminate repeat failures and improve mean time between failures (MTBF).
  4. Design, optimize, and sustain preventive and predictive maintenance programs aligned with equipment criticality.
  5. Analyze maintenance data and downtime trends to refine maintenance intervals and task effectiveness.

What the JD emphasized
