Manufacturing Systems Engineer II (onsite)

This role focuses on supporting and optimizing manufacturing systems, production processes, and workflows within a manufacturing facility. The engineer will identify and implement improvements to increase throughput, reduce friction, troubleshoot technical issues, develop documentation, support new product introductions, analyze data for continuous improvement, and contribute to Lean manufacturing initiatives. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a related engineering field and 5+ years of experience in manufacturing or production engineering.

What you'd actually do

  1. Support and optimize manufacturing systems, processes, and production workflows to ensure efficient and reliable operations.
  2. Identify and implement improvements to manufacturing processes, tooling, and production systems to increase throughput and reduce operational friction.
  3. Work closely with production teams to troubleshoot technical issues affecting manufacturing performance.
  4. Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation including work instructions, process flows, and system procedures.
  5. Analyze manufacturing and operational data to identify trends and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, production engineering, or manufacturing systems roles.
  • Experience working in manufacturing environments such as electronics, hardware, aerospace, automotive, or other technically complex production settings.
  • Experience improving production systems, manufacturing processes, or factory workflows.
  • Ability to analyze manufacturing data and identify opportunities for process improvements.
  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, engineering, and supply chain.
