Marketing & Events Specialist – Anz *contract*

This role is for a Marketing & Events Specialist responsible for executing Axon's regional marketing strategy in Australia and New Zealand. The specialist will plan and deliver events, localize global programs, and support sales and government affairs with marketing initiatives. Key responsibilities include managing event logistics, tracking ROI, coordinating PR, and building partnerships. The role requires experience in B2B/B2G marketing or events, strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to work independently.

What you'd actually do

  1. Plan and execute events, activations, and local experiences across Australia and New Zealand, including trade shows, summits, and partner programs
  2. Localize and deploy marketing assets, messaging, and social content for regional audiences
  3. Build partnerships with customers, associations, and industry influencers to increase awareness and adoption of Axon
  4. Partner with Sales and Government Affairs to support regional growth and relationship-building efforts
  5. Track and manage lead capture, event ROI, and post-event follow-up

Skills

Required

  • 2–4 years of experience in B2B or B2G (government) marketing, field marketing, or events
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related field
  • Native-level fluency in English
  • Experience managing external agencies (PR, Digital, CRM, Social Media)
  • Highly organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple projects independently
  • Excellent communication skills across teams, cultures, and time zones
  • Self-starter mindset — thrives in ambiguity and takes initiative without daily guidance

Nice to have

  • Prior experience working with or in U.S.-based companies is a strong plus
