This role is for a Menu Onboarding Consultant at Toast, a restaurant platform company. The consultant will work with customers to build, review, and configure menus, acting as a relationship manager during the onboarding phase. Responsibilities include creating onboarding plans, consulting on configuration needs, performing remote onboarding configurations, documenting processes, and training restaurant staff on using the Toast product. The role requires bilingualism in French, customer satisfaction experience, and the ability to work independently in a changing environment. While Toast uses AI tools internally for hiring processes and encourages employees to learn AI tools, this specific role does not involve building or directly using AI/ML models as its core craft.

What you'd actually do

  1. Leverage your Toast product knowledge and project management skills to partner with restaurant owners during the Go-Live phase and build out onboarding plans that will produce a high-quality implementation experience within the timeline and budget.
  2. Create best practices for managing daily restaurant operations by enabling restaurant owners and staff to utilize Toast, including management of labor and food costs, table turnover time, and guest relationships.
  3. Responsible for consulting with clients, in French or English, to determine configuration needs prior to go-live and communicating any unique needs to the project resources.
  4. Perform onboarding configurations remotely while documenting the go-live process, observing Toast best practices, as well as document any deviations from best practices that were identified during the design phase of the project.
  5. Create & lead an onboarding training plan to the entire restaurant staff on how to leverage the Toast product configured to their business and workflow with a focus on operational efficiencies that positively impact the guest and staff experience.

Skills

Required

  • Bilingual in French
  • 1 + years of experience in a role responsible for customer satisfaction and business operations, including management of long-term customer relationships (4-6 weeks or more)
  • Success operating independently and navigating competing priorities in a constantly changing environment
  • Proven track record of success in meeting and exceeding goals
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and influencing skills

Nice to have

  • 1+ years of experience using a POS (Point of Sale) software, ideally in the service industry
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM
  • Experience working in the tech industry or for a SAAS company
  • Training, teaching, or development experience
