Seeking a Senior PCB Designer with 7+ years of experience to join the Spectacles team. The role involves designing high-density PCBs and flexes from prototype to mass production using Allegro PCB Designer, collaborating with cross-functional engineers, and managing external ECAD resources. Requires strong skills in PCB layout, DFM/DFA, and knowledge of common interface standards.

What you'd actually do

  1. Work closely with electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing engineers to produce industry leading flexes and printed circuit board (PCB) designs from prototype through mass production using Allegro PCB Designer.
  2. Design high density PCBs, flexes, and rigid flexes requiring the use of stacked microvias, sequential lamination stack-ups, and fine pitch packages.
  3. Create fabrication and assembly drawings.
  4. Define design rules, apply them to the constraint manager, design within limits, create artworks, fabrication and assembly documentation, and verify designs prior to release.
  5. Collaborate with suppliers on stackups, capabilities, and solving engineering issues.
