Product Designer for Toast's Guest organization, focusing on digital storefronts and marketing. What you'd actually do

  1. Own and drive the end-to-end design process for product features within the Guest org, moving from initial discovery through high-fidelity execution with strong autonomy.
  2. Use data and research to substantiate your design decisions. You’ll be responsible for translating guest analytics, research, and restaurant feedback into a rigorous methodology that informs the user journey.
  3. Deliver polished, high-fidelity artifacts that account for complex restaurant constraints. You will utilize and contribute to the Toast design system, ensuring your work is scalable and technically sound.
  4. Act as a dependable partner to your Product and Engineering counterparts. You’ll make your work visible early and often, using storytelling to build alignment and ensure technical feasibility.
  5. Be the voice of the customer in every room. You will break down complex workflows, like online ordering or loyalty sign-ups, into intuitive, delightful experiences that feel like true hospitality.

Skills

Required

  • Demonstrated ability to use data and insights, including business metrics and user research, to substantiate design decisions and drive impact.
  • High bar for design excellence; portfolio shows a disciplined process that accounts for fine details, edge cases, and complex, real-world constraints.
  • Innately collaborative and actively manage stakeholders; collaborative style inspires others, and you build the dependability needed to enact influence with cross-functional partners.
  • Excel at untangling ambiguity, breaking down complex workflows into intuitive, end-to-end user journeys.
  • 3+ years in product design, showing a clear progression from executing tasks to owning broader product outcomes and strategy.
