Product Manager, Wallet

Airbnb Airbnb · Consumer · United States · Product Management

Product Manager for Airbnb's new financial hub for guests, called Wallet. This role will define and build the Wallet experience, transforming how guests manage their financial relationship with Airbnb by integrating payment methods, stored value, credits, and spending features. The goal is to create a trusted, engaging place that guests return to between trips, not just at checkout. The role requires deep experience in consumer financial products, understanding the payments ecosystem, and driving checkout/conversion improvements. Success means guests proactively managing their finances with Airbnb, increased utilization of credits and stored value, and Wallet becoming a platform for future financial products.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Wallet — defining what it means to give every Airbnb guest a financial home they trust and return to.
  2. Build the core Wallet experience: payment method management, spending power visibility (credits, stored value, refunds), and personalized financial communication.
  3. Drive engagement on Wallet surfaces during and between trips, making the product feel valuable and revisitable — not just a utility reached at checkout.
  4. Partner with Payments Engineering to expand the payment methods and financial capabilities available to guests across global markets.
  5. Collaborate closely with platform product managers who build the payment and financial infrastructure Wallet sits on — delegating capability work generously, staying aligned on shared roadmaps.
