Professional Services Manager, Fleet Vehicle Intelligence Product

This role is a customer-facing, field-based position responsible for the technical deployment, configuration, validation, and support of Axon's Vehicle Intelligence (VI) and Automated License Plate Recognition (ALPR) solutions during trials, pilots, and deployments. The manager will act as the onsite technical lead, conduct customer training, troubleshoot system issues, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful customer evaluations and provide feedback to product and engineering teams.

What you'd actually do

  1. Install, configure, validate, and support Axon's Vehicle Intelligence and ALPR technologies during customer trials, pilots, and deployment activities.
  2. Serve as the onsite technical lead for Vehicle Intelligence evaluations, ensuring successful implementation and operation of all trial equipment.
  3. Conduct customer onboarding and technical training for agency administrators, technical contacts, and end users.
  4. Troubleshoot hardware, software, networking, cellular connectivity, and system integration issues in field environments.
  5. Validate system performance and ensure trial environments meet established technical requirements and success criteria.

Skills

Required

  • 5+ years of experience deploying, configuring, supporting, or administering technology solutions in public safety, transportation, physical security, or related industries.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Automated License Plate Recognition (ALPR) systems.
  • Experience deploying, configuring, and supporting fixed-position ALPR camera systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills involving networking, cellular communications, hardware, software, and field-installed technology systems.
  • Experience working directly with public safety agencies and understanding law enforcement operational workflows.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in fast-paced field environments.
  • Ability to travel extensively throughout the United States.
  • Ability to stand, bend, climb, and lift equipment up to 75 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

  • Experience with fixed infrastructure deployments including pole-mounted cameras, solar systems, cellular communications, and networking equipment
  • Experience with IP networking concepts including LAN, WAN, VPN, switching, routing, and wireless communications
  • Experience supporting public safety technology deployments
  • Military, law enforcement technology, transportation technology, or physical security industry experience
  • Project management or deployment management experience
  • Industry certifications such as Network+, Security+, CCNA, Cradlepoint, or equivalent
