This role is for a Residential Security Officer at Snap Inc. The primary responsibilities include implementing and managing a residential security program for senior executives, monitoring CCTV, implementing access control, conducting patrols, and responding to security incidents. The role requires strong understanding of security operations, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work flexible shifts. Minimum qualifications include 3 years of relevant security experience, a valid driver's license, and specific security permits.

What you'd actually do

  1. Implement, manage and help to lead a comprehensive residential security program providing a safe and secure home environment for senior executives, family members, and guests.
  2. In a professional, discreet and respectful manner you will greet and receive guests; monitor CCTV and security technologies in a 24/7 Command Post; implement access control procedures; conduct foot patrols, receive and inspect deliveries, and execute other complementary procedures to maintain 24-hour security for residential properties.
  3. Communicate effectively and politely; maintain detailed, accurate logs; draft and update standard operating procedures; create and maintain complex shift schedules and multiple electronic calendars, and track and manage official expenses and transaction reports.
  4. Liaise with household staff, contractors, event staff, and other stakeholders to ensure that security procedures are understood and followed in day-to-day residential functions and also integrated into the planning of work projects and events
  5. Respond to security breaches, medical emergencies and other incidents.

Skills

Required

  • 3 years of relevant work experience in residential or executive security, law enforcement or the military
  • A valid driver's license and ability to operate a motor vehicle
  • Must be able to pass a background and driving record check
  • Valid California BSIS Guard Card
  • Valid California BSIS Firearms Permit
  • Ability to stand, sit, and walk frequently, and for long periods of time; ability to lift luggage, equipment and other heavy items

Nice to have

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience
  • Prior medical and trauma training and certifications
  • Valid California CCW
