Security Engineer - Data Platform

Apptronik Apptronik · Robotics · HQ · Software Engineering

Security Engineer focused on the data platform for a robotics company, responsible for the security posture of hybrid cloud and on-premise robotic deployments, including data encryption, access control, and secure remote access for training data and real-time systems.

What you'd actually do

  1. Develop and maintain a comprehensive security framework that spans hybrid cloud and on-premise industrial environments.
  2. Investigate and implement end-to-end encryption for data at rest and in transit, specifically protecting robotic telemetry and video training data.
  3. Design and manage Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and modern authentication protocols (e.g., OIDC, SAML) across the fleet and developer platforms.
  4. Establish secure, auditable remote access solutions for engineers to troubleshoot robots at customer sites without compromising facility network integrity.
  5. Work closely with customer IT teams to ensure Apptronik's solution meets stringent enterprise security and safety requirements
