Snap is seeking a Senior Epitaxy Engineer to drive the development of III-V epitaxy technologies for next-generation Spectacles devices. This role involves leading day-to-day epitaxy operations, process planning, recipe optimization, growth execution, and materials characterization. The engineer will contribute to the epitaxial technology roadmap, conduct process testing and data analysis, and collaborate cross-functionally. Responsibilities also include IP development and ensuring compliance with cleanroom protocols.

What you'd actually do

  1. Drive the development of III–V epitaxy technologies to enable new innovations and next-generation devices
  2. Lead day-to-day epitaxy operations, including process planning, recipe optimization, growth execution, and materials characterization using tools such as XRD, PL, CL, EL, SEM, AFM, and surface defectivity assessments
  3. Contribute directly to the epitaxial technology roadmap, aligning short- and long-term R&D objectives with overall business goals
  4. Conduct process testing, data analysis, and quality assurance, ensuring continuous improvement in epitaxial performance, uniformity, and yield
  5. Collaborate cross-functionally with teams including Process Engineering, Equipment Engineering, Characterisation & Test, Facilities, and Shift Engineers to achieve project milestones
