The Senior HR Business Partner - Operations will serve as a strategic partner to operational leaders, driving initiatives that enhance employee engagement, operational effectiveness, and workforce productivity. This role supports a dynamic, fast-paced environment with a large hourly workforce and distributed teams, balancing strategic partnership with hands-on execution.

What you'd actually do

  1. Partner with Operations leadership to align HR strategies with business goals, workforce planning, and productivity targets
  2. Act as the primary HR contact for employee relations issues across hourly and salaried populations
  3. Drive performance management processes including goal setting, mid-year and annual reviews
  4. Analyze engagement data (pulse surveys, turnover trends, absenteeism) and implement action plans
  5. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws (especially related to hourly workforce, overtime, and scheduling)

Skills

Required

  • Experience supporting hourly and distributed workforces
  • Strong employee relations and investigation experience
  • Knowledge of labor laws, wage and hour regulations, and compliance requirements
  • Proven ability to influence leaders and drive change in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills

Nice to have

  • SHRM-CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR certification
  • Experience in a startup or fast-growing company
