Senior HR Business Partner

World Labs World Labs · AI Frontier · San Francisco, CA · People

Senior HR Business Partner to provide strategic advice to technical and non-technical leaders, focusing on organizational effectiveness, high-performance standards, and complex people decisions. This role will build the HRBP function from scratch, establish management toolkits, strengthen org design, advise on performance, and act as a liaison between leaders and the People team to ensure intentional scaling and future growth.

What you'd actually do

  1. Partner directly with founders and team leads on org design, headcount planning, and talent strategy — from hiring through career development
  2. Drive org design work — reorgs, reporting structures, span of control, leveling and titling — with rigor and speed
  3. Regularly track people data and identify trends on hiring, attrition, engagement, and compensation; use it to influence decisions, not just report them
  4. Give direct, critical feedback to managers on areas of opportunity; understand their teams and products well enough to make recommendations that actually land
  5. Build management toolkits and coach managers to lead at a high level — not just advising on individual situations but _systematically_ upleveling the management layer.
