Senior HR Manager for the Legal & Public Affairs department at Booking.com, responsible for developing and executing people strategies globally to support business objectives, enhance employee engagement, and foster a high-performance culture. This role involves partnering with senior leadership on talent acquisition, workforce planning, performance management, succession planning, and ensuring adherence to labor laws.

What you'd actually do

  1. Partner with the Chief Legal Officer and her Legal and Public Affairs Leadership Team to understand business objectives and translate them into effective people programs.
  2. Collaborate with (ELT-level) business leaders to identify talent needs and develop strategies for attracting, retaining, and developing top talent.
  3. Develop and implement HR initiatives that support business growth, talent management, and organizational development across LPA.
  4. Provide strategic input on talent acquisition, strategic workforce planning and performance management to the global and regional HR CoE’s ensuring alignment, teamwork and effective communication.
  5. Lead conversations and implement outcomes of succession planning, and career development initiatives.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience
  • 5+ years in a trusted partnership role with senior executives
  • Ability to apply metrics and analysis to inform business leaders
  • Proven ability to develop and implement HR strategies
  • Proven ability to coordinate, influence and drive results without direct authority
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills
  • Demonstrated experience in managing complex employee relations issues
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a high degree of autonomy
  • Excellent communication skills, including influencing, coaching and mentoring
  • Expert in HR process and policy
  • Expert in delivering large scale organizational change programmes and/or people roadmaps
  • Thorough understanding of managing talent lifecycles and resourcing plans
  • Ability to work cross functionally and partner with multiple business areas
  • Ability to drive and own large change programmes
  • Strategic mindset
