This role focuses on driving new business success metrics (MQL and eCommerce conversion rate optimization) across Toast’s website platforms by executing and optimizing CRO on web funnels, building and analyzing A/B tests, and leveraging product analytics tools. The role partners closely with Growth Marketing, Design, Engineering, Product Marketing, Marketing Operations, and Analytics to ship experiments that move the needle on funnel performance. While the company uses AI tools internally and encourages exploration of AI for workflow assistance, the core responsibilities do not involve building or shipping AI models or agents.

What you'd actually do

  1. Execute and optimize CRO on web funnels across US and INTL properties—from SEO & AEO discovery/visibility through inbound lead generation and self-service purchase completion.
  2. Build, launch, and analyze A/B text experiments that improve traffic, traffic-to-MQL, and purchase conversion rates.
  3. Partner with CMS (Contentful), UXD, and front-end engineering teams to create, iterate, and build high-performing and interactive experiences and workflows.
  4. Leverage product analytics tools (e.g., Heap, Sigma) to develop hypotheses, monitor funnel health, identify drop-off points, and translate data into clear experiment briefs.
  5. Write clear user stories, requirements, and test plans for Design and Engineering partners, translating growth strategy into actionable sprint-ready work.

Skills

Required

  • 5+ years of experience in digital marketing, conversion rate optimization, eCommerce, or digital product strategy.
  • Hands-on experience managing content on CMS-enabled surfaces (e.g., Contentful, WordPress, or similar headless CMS platforms).
  • Demonstrated experience designing, executing, and analyzing A/B tests or multivariate experiments with measurable business impact.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in product analytics tools (e.g., Amplitude, Hex, Google Analytics) and comfort building dashboards or reports to track funnel performance.
  • Excellent communication skills you can translate complex data into clear insights and write sharp briefs that Design and Engineering teams can act on.
  • Growth ownership mindset: you identify opportunities, move fast, and execute end-to-end.

Nice to have

  • Experience working in a B2B or B2B2C SaaS environment, ideally within a multi-product portfolio company.
  • Familiarity with experimentation platforms (e.g., Optimizely, LaunchDarkly, or similar feature flagging tools).
  • Prior experience with headless CMS architectures and component-based content delivery.
  • Exposure to freemium or free trial conversion models.
  • Exposure to chatbot optimizations and flow buildouts.
  • Proficiency with tools such as Figma, Jira, or Asana for cross-functional collaboration.
  • Experience in the hospitality, restaurant, or vertical SaaS space.
